Summary : Modernity usually puts together notions like working, producting, and acting. Hannah Arendt proceeds to a critical genealogy of these modes of being. Whereas the work means satisfaction of needs, making works means for us to produce useful objects. On the contrary, acting is the only one which leaves us to the world, letting us exercise our freedom of talking beings, able to begin.
