Summary : The Political and the Scientific in the Practice of Anthropotechnology.

Anthropotechnology is oriented towards the resolution of problems that arise when a new technolgy is introduced in an environment that is different to the one in which it originated. Our practice in this area and its growing place in the field of human and social sciences in France and abroad, leads us to consider is today as a technology that is able to draw its inspiration, in its fields of application, from the scientific production of a set of disciplines whose conceptual bases are now sufficiently close to make it possible to group them under the term of anthropology of techniques, considered here as going beyond the frameworks that are usually exclusively limited to the ethnology of techniques and the sociology of sciences and techniques. From an epistemological point of view, technology transfers enable us to into a form of anthropology of tranfer that is no longer content with the traditional binary relation (conceivers/users), but rather reintegrates in the field of research the actors that place their actions in between two worlds. The presentation of thie point of view requires to take another look at anthropotechnology so as to make it necessary to think of the place of politics and science in its history.
