Résumé du texte de Adolfo Fernandez-Zoïla : Rappel de la méthode zolienne du naturalisme avec nécessité pour cet auteur de reproduire des comportements et des parlers propres à l'époque et aux groupes d'individus mis en scène. Présentation des scènes de travail de quatre métiers décrits dans L'Assommoir (1877). Apparition de la description clinique, chez Coupeau, d'une névrose post-traumatique en liaison avec une rupture brusque en relation avec un évènement temporel. Analyse de l'utopie romanesque de Travail (1901) où Zola propose une organisation du travail et de la vie socio-familiale nouvelle tout à fait fictionnelle qui tranche avec le système en vigueur à l'époque. Cette inspiration de Fourier pourrait trouver un écho dans certains phalanstères qui ont existé (Godin). Le fictionnel épique est porté par Zola à son comble, mais il n'ignore pas l'éclosion de composantes psychiques neuves au sein d'une éventuelle organisation autre.

Summary : Introduction to Zola's naturalist method, who requires an updating of the bahavior and speech proper to the epoch and to the groups of individuals staged therein. Presentation of work scenes associated to the four occupations described in l'Assommoir (1877). Appearance at Coupeau's place of a post-traumatic neurosis linked to a brutal rupture and related to a temporary event. Analysis of Travail's (1901) novelistic utopia, where Zola proposes a new organization of labor and of social and family life, that deeply contrasts with the time 's system. This inspiration, owing to Fourier, can also be related to certain communities that actually existed (Godin). Zola takes the genre of epical fiction to its maximal expression, even though he does not ignore the appearance of new psychic components within an eventual reorganization.
